“Our SALAS President Dr Edgar shared the accomplishment report and our Treasurer delivered the financial status of the organization to members. The highlight of the event was the election of officers to hold a committee or executive positions as mandated by SALAS Constitution. For this year, SALAS elected a new Treasurer, a secondary auditor and a new position as IT Coordinator. Congratulations to Glenda Tan (PMI), D. Revethi (NTU), and Benson Ng (Duke-NUS) for their new posts. Adding excitement to the event was the talk from Dr. Lois Zitzow, the Director of NUS Comparative Medicine as she shared a very interesting presentation on Biodefense work in the US and how to avoid being Typhoid Mary. A sumptuous dinner prepared by the SALAS committee and lucky draw was held at the end.”
